What is the best thing that you have received that was free?
A feeling! Being able to make a terminally ill patient smile and temporarily forget about their diagnosis or telling a mother we can perform free life changing reconstructive surgery on her child is rewarding. The feeling I get when I help someone...when I make a difference, is truly indescribable.
What do you do that makes you a leader?
Lead by example, connect to others, encourage, motivate, and delegate. I believe that as a leader, I am not as good as what I accomplish, but by what I help those I lead accomplish. A great leader inspires and motivates those they lead to be great.
What do you feel most successful women have in common?
Confidence...Drive...Positivity...Perseverance. Successful women have confidence in themselves and what they stand for...a never ending drive to achieve. They see the bright side and potential in situations instead of being weighted down by negativity. No matter what obstacles arise, a successful woman CAN and WILL rise above.
Tell me about an experience that has been educational to you.
Medical mission trips have created an opportunity for me to learn, first hand, about other cultures and life experiences. They serve as a rewarding and staggering reminder of the blessings America, the free world, offers. A reminder to be thankful for all the blessings I've been granted in my life.
What is your best asset? Why?
My personality. I have always been told that the warmth of my personality is infectious and inspiring. That's a gift I have always cherished because I have seen that giving warmth and caring to others seems to encourage them to rise to their best...and that makes my heart happy!
