Miss Haiti International™ 2019

Marjorie Fleurant

If you could teach a class in school, what would it be?
Self-esteem and self-efficacy. It has been proven from the Heart of a Leadership Organization that 74% of women are under pressure to please someone. Only 3% of women are Fortune 500 CEO’s, in positions of clout in the mainstream media and only 3 % of women are creative directors in ad agencies. It is time that we make a change to the statistics. We are capable, we just need to know that we are worthy.

Name one of your strengths and one of your weaknesses
A strength of mine is resiliency, as life is filled with many trials and tribulations—it is inevitable for me to never allow the troubles of the world to uptake me. As a women coming from Haitian descent, perseverance is in our blood to continue forward. My weakness is that I can be very hard on myself understanding my potentials, I always strive to be the best that I can be.

What qualities do you feel a titleholder should possess?
The qualities a titleholder should possess are resiliency, dedication and empowerment. With these three qualities, it is certain that one will use their platform as a form of giving back to the present generation and those to come. As a role model, it is very important to understand that your every day of living brings hope to another soul and is helping with strengthening a dream.

What makeup item could you not live without and why?
Volumizing Mascara. Depicting the goals that I have for the world, its purpose to elongate, thicken and strengthen goes the extra mile to bold an eye look. As a bold individual, I am here to rigorously promote the platform of Educate, Execute and Elevate. Understanding that it is through my boldness that I will reach a multitude of children in need of strengthening their passions of reaching and achieving their goals of academic success.

Do you feel that beauty pageants help or hurt how society views women?
Beauty pageants help the way society views women. Living in a time period where women are finally able to speak up and be who they have worked so hard to be, it gives women opportunities to use their platform to be a public voice for those who may not be able to speak up for themselves. With the end goal to elevate, it is imperative to continue to use beauty pageants to strengthen all minds.
