Amanda Houdashell

People's Choice Award

Amanda has been a resident of Mesa, Arizona for the past 22 years. She graduated from Red Mountain High School in 2001, and graduated with Honors from Arizona State University in 2005, having earned her BA in Communications and a minor in History. Amanda is a graduate of Dale Carnegie and has attended EagleU University as well as returning as a Team Leader for EagleU in Washington DC. Amanda is now attending Capella Universityfor a Master's Degree in Business with an emphasis in Human Resources.
Amanda is a full-time employee for US Airways as a Flight Safety Officer and is an active member of their "Do Crew"; which is a volunteer organization within US Airways.  She has her Solo Certification in a Cessna 150 and volunteers regularly at the Commemorative Air Force in
.  She also enjoys yoga, salsa dancing, and is a certified scuba diver.
Supporting our troops and their families has always held a special place in Amandas heart and for this reason she has chosen Operation HomeFront as her platform. Being Miss Arizona International allows Amanda to travel all over the state of
Arizona raising awareness and support needed for our soldiers and their families.
