Born and raised in Northwest Arkansas, Anna Claire Hay is currently a student at the University of Arkansas majoring in Exercise Science with plans to attend medical school post graduation. Other than calling the hogs she enjoys spoiling her Goldendoodle Snickers, reading, running, and spending time with her family. She describes herself as motivated, compassionate, and selfless.
Anna Claire started her pageant journey at a very young age and has experienced first hand the impact that mentors can have on one's life. This inspired her to create her personal platform The Power of One which aims to promote the positive effects of mentorship, inclusion, and empowerment of the modern woman. Anna Claire has accepted her role as a mentor with honor and wants to show others that they have the power to do the same. After being diagnosed with dyslexia in high school she overcame this challenge by publishing her self-authored children's book “You Can Sit With Jackson” and becoming a part of the 29% of Women in S.T.E.M. From raising over $15,000 for Children's Miracle Network to speaking to over 20,000 students about the importance of inclusivity to providing an annual scholarship to women in S.T.E.M, Anna Claire has a heart for service.
“I have vivid memories of looking up to the “big girls” in my life and aspiring to be just like them. I am now that woman that little girls all over the world are looking up to. If I could talk to each one of them I would want them to know that they are capable, are worth more than than they will ever know, must most importantly each and everyone of them has a fire inside of them that can withstand any storm”
