Jennifer Sarah Vingi is a Senior at
Jennifer has always felt that to make a difference you have to get involved and she has seen first hand the influence positive youth mentoring has had in her community and throughout the state. For several years and through various organizations she has actively participated in speaking to young people about the importance of having high self-esteem and the significance of living a healthy lifestyle.
Jennifer has participated in several American Heart Association events, including Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart. She travels to schools and speaks to students to promote active lifestyles as part of her platform.
Most recently, Jennifer has participated in "Little Faces of Heart," and American Heart Association campaign sponsored by Swarovski. This campaign promotes the importance of a heart-healthy diet and exercise for families. She also took part in the Southern New England Start! Heart Walk, where she was a guest speaker.
She is a member of "Go Red for Women," an American Heart Association program designed to inspire women to keep their hearts healthy and educate them regarding the warning signs of stroke and disease.
Jennifer plans to continue to support the mission of the American Heart Association, which builds lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
One of four children, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In her free time she enjoys reading, going to the beach, playing softball and enjoys cheering and watching her favorite professional sports teams!
