Miss Nevada International™ 2019

Dani Vierra

What is the First thing you notice about a person?
If I could teach any class in school it would definitely be a drone piloting class. There are more and more schools across the country starting to implement drone programs. It's always so inspiring for me to see young men and women learning to fly. The moment when they realize they are getting to see the world in a new way and recognize the freedom that flying offers and their face lights up is by far the most rewarding experience.

What goals do you have for the new 5 years?
My biggest weakness is the fact that I am a perfectionist and put a lot of pressure on myself to do things well. Often times I am not kind to myself when I feel like I am not doing something well enough or learning something fast enough. My biggest strength is definitely my confidence. I feel like I am in a place where I am happy with who I am and the life I've been able to lead. I hope that I am able to help others find the beauty in themselves and realize that they are exactly who they need to be.

What is the first thing you would do if you win the lottery?
More than anything a titleholder should be gracious. Gracious people are kind and their behavior is characterized by tact. To live with grace is to walk lightly and leave the world better than you found it.

What is the most useless you have ever purchased?
I can't think of a single makeup item that I couldn't live without. I would definitely die without sunblock though. When I was younger I would fight my mom about putting sunblock on me before a long day outside! Now looking back I feel so incredibly grateful that she taught me to be sun conscious and develop healthy habits.

What is the best way to spend a rainy afternoon?
Pageants will likely always be controversial in society. However, we as titleholders are given a unique opportunity to drive the narrative through positive interactions throughout our community. Leading by example, being gracious, and building up those around you will always be received well by others. Using the tools we learn in pageantry we can help to better represent women everywhere!
