Miss Minnesota International™ 2019

Hajamaya Mulbah - Top 10

If you could teach a class in school, what would it be?
I would love to teach art because you donít have to be perfect to create something amazing. Art is a beautiful outlet to express feelings and free your mind. While volunteering at Susan G Komenís 3-Day, I enjoyed the art station near the finish line. It was a great way to relax after walking 20 miles. I would enjoy helping people find their creativity because the possibilities with art are endless.

Name one of your strengths and one of your weaknesses
Strength: Courage. Weakness: Chocolate!

What qualities do you feel a titleholder should possess?
I believe that a titleholder should be intelligent, driven, relatable, confident, and passionate about her platform. I am sure that all of the delegates will demonstrate these qualities in their own unique way.

What makeup item could you not live without and why?
Mascara! Eye contact is powerful and theyíre always the first thing I notice. I donít have naturally long lashes, but I love the natural boost that I get from Tarte Cosmetics Mascara. It truly makes me feel that my beauty is being enhanced, which leaves me feeling confident for the rest of the day. And we all know the best accessory is confidence!

Do you feel that beauty pageants help or hurt how society views women?
It depends on the pageant, as some are based solely on physical appearance. International system contestants bring a lot more to the table than looks. Pageantry provides women with a platform to raise awareness give back to their community and develop their voice. In my opinion, the right pageant improves societyís view of women .The passionate group of women who compete are walking proof of how pageantry can have a positive impact on society.
