Miss Washington International™ 2019

Layla Moayeri

What is the First thing you notice about a person?
I would teach a class on following your dreams, going after what you want in life and not worrying about what others think. Too many people fear judgement and it stops them from achieving their goals. I want to help people realize that no one else’s opinions matter when you are doing what makes you happy.

What goals do you have for the new 5 years?
One strength that I possess is being able to get along with anyone. I am able to set aside differences and work well with others to achieve a common goal. One weakness I have is over thinking decisions I have made. I tend to question whether I have made the right choice when it comes to important decisions.

What is the first thing you would do if you win the lottery?
A title holder should be a servant leader. They should be the first ones to get their hands dirty and get to work. Servant leaders lead by example, put others before themselves, and serve the people they represent. I believe this is one of the most important qualities a titleholder should have.

What is the most useless you have ever purchased?
Generally, I am very comfortable going make-up free however, my go-to is mascara! It is subtle, yet brings out the color of my eyes.

What is the best way to spend a rainy afternoon?
The women who compete in pageants are smart, talented, courageous, and leaders of our communities. Pageants empower women to be the best they can be and serve for the good of others. Beauty pageants promote confidence, and allow women to lift each other up. If you look into what pageants and contestants stand for, you will see that they definitely help how society views women.
