1. Are you more afraid of the doctor or dentist?
A modern woman isn’t monolithic. She is audacious and authentic. She chooses the path she wants for herself. She fully accepts herself and trusts that she’s wonderfully and perfectly made. She makes decisions that serve her and contribute to etching her legacy in this world.
2. If you could have a lifetime supply of anything what would it be?
When a girl has the agency, aptitude and ability to take control of her life is when she becomes a woman.
3. What’s the worst date you’ve been on?
Faith and fear can’t coincide. I handle disappointment by knowing that my steps are already written. Though things didn’t play in my favor at the time of disappointment, they are small building blocks to the journey that’s already paved.
4. If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
WNBA All-Star 2018, a four-year-old walked up to me and put my media pass around her neck. She stared at me in awe. The next day, her father contacted me and said “Liliana couldn’t stop saying ‘Daddy, she has hair just like mine.’†I’ll never forget that moment.
5. Is there anything about you that people are surprised to learn?
Stillness. We often underestimate the power of being still. Stillness creates balance in life and it’s a deliberate ACTION. It is a conscious, active choice to press pause when your soul encourages it. It is knowing that though you’re magical, you are not a magician.
Also, pressure is a privilege. That is the perspective I carry.
